Fantasy Football: Week 6 Hot and Cold Quarterbacks!

Week six of the Fantasy Football season begins on Thursday October 15 and ends on Monday October 19, 2015. Today we will look at some widely available QB’s for you seasonal league owners along with their prices at FanDuel and Draft Kings.

Who’s Hot

QB: Josh McCown Cleveland Browns (FanDuel: $7,000 Draft Kings: $5,400) McCown is currently available in over 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues and has been red hot over his last 3 starts with 1154 passing yards, 6 touchdown passes and just 1 interception and a fumble. He even ran one in for six this past Sunday against Baltimore. He faces a difficult test this Sunday at home against the Denver Broncos who just happen to have the best defense in the NFL overall and allow just 192 yards passing per game.

QB: Blake Bortles Jacksonville Jaguars (FanDuel $7,300 Draft Kings $5,200) Bortles has been flying under the radar all season long and is currently available in over 70 percent of all Major Fantasy Football Leagues. This season Bortles has thrown for 1,026 yards, 10 touchdowns, 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles. He’s also run the ball 14 times for 126 yards and this Sunday he’s at home facing the 11th best defensive team in the league in the Houston Texans who also allow 225 yards per game via the air.

QB: Joe Flacco Baltimore Ravens (FanDuel $7,800, Draft Kings ($5,900) Flacco is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues and has thrown for 1.073 yards, 5 TD’s, 4 interceptions and 3 fumbles. Flacco has only run the ball 7 times for 4 yards but scored 2 touchdowns. This Sunday Flacco is on the road against second worst defense in the league the San Francisco 49ers who allow a whopping 298 yards in the air per game.

QB: Jay Cutler Chicago Bears (FanDuel $7,500 Draft Kings $5,200) Cutler is available in just over 75 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues and has thrown for 878 yards, 6 touchdowns, 3 interceptions and 3 fumbles. Cutler has also run the ball 12 times for 70 yards. This Sunday the Bears travel to Detroit to play the #22 ranked defense of the Lions that allows 248 passing yards per game.

QB: Colin Kaepernick San Francisco 49ers (FanDuel $7,300 Draft Kings $5,000) Kaepernick is available in just over 50 percent of Major Fantasy Football leagues and this season has had his ups and downs. Over his past 5 games Kaepernick has thrown for 989 yards, 4 touchdowns, 5 interceptions and 5 fumbles. He’s also rushed 36 times for 218 yards a 1 touchdown this season. This week the 49ers host the Baltimore Ravens who have the 24th ranked defense in the NFL and allow 278 yards passing per game.

Who’s Not

Matthew Stafford has had a rocky season and is still owned in over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues. Stafford was yanked in favor of backup QB Dan Orlovsky. He’s still scheduled to start this Sunday at home against Chicago who just happen to be ranked #4 in the NFL in total defense and allows 185 yards passing per game. If you want to take the chance on him he’s relatively cheap at FanDuel ($6,900) and at Draft Kings ($5,300).

Kirk Cousins had a nice run but last week struggled against the Atlanta Falcons throwing for 219 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. The Falcons defense is ranked #20 and this week the Redskins are on the road to face the #2 ranked New York Jets defense allowing 185 passing yards per game. Cousins is currently available in over 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues and if you use him in DFS this week you he’s $6,200 at FanDuel and $5,100 at Draft Kings.
