Week twelve of the main slate at FanDuel has twelve games. There are several ways to go with this and it should be quite the interesting week.

Quarterback

Out of 24 Quarterbacks to choose from I think I have found five of them that might outdo the rest of the pack.

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady ($9100) is pricey but he does have a good matchup this week on the road against a New York Jets defense allowing 260.5 passing yards a game and 16 touchdowns this season. The Jets are especially bad at home allowing 12 touchdowns through the air in just four home games. Brady has been very good this season throwing for 1915 yards and 16 touchdowns with just one interception. That’s good for a 24.3 point FanDuel average. Vegas set a 48 point over under with the Patriots an eight point road favorite. Weather shouldn’t play a factor in this one and if you are willing to pay the price Brady is as solid and steady as you can get.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer ($7100) hasn’t had the best season but he does have a very good opportunity this Sunday on the road against a Atlanta Falcons defense allowing 283 passing yards a game and 23 touchdowns this season. Palmer has thrown for 2642 yards and 13 touchdowns this season and that equates to 16.1 FanDuel points a game and 10 interceptions this season. There is a 50 point over under with the Falcons an early week four point favorite and the game will be played in a dome so weather won’t be a factor. There are always risks with Palmer but the price is right and the matchup is about as good as it gets.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning ($7800) has a terrific matchup this Sunday on the road against a Cleveland Browns defense allowing 265.5 yards a game and 25 touchdowns this season. Manning has been solid throwing for 2708 yards and 17 touchdowns with ten interceptions for a 16.2 FanDuel points per game average. The weather shouldn’t be a factor and Vegas has set a 45 point over under with the Giants an early week seven point road favorite. The thing about the Browns is that they actually play better defense on the road then at home as they have allowed 16 passing touchdowns in just five home games as opposed to nine in six road games.

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr ($7900) has been terrific this season and he has a home game this Sunday against a Carolina Panthers defense allowing 271.1 passing yards a game and 19 touchdowns this season. This season Carr has thrown for 2800 yards and 20 touchdowns with just four interceptions for a 19.6 FanDuel points per game average. Weather shouldn’t be a problem and Vegas set a 49.5 point over under with the Raiders an early week 3.5 point home favorite. This should be a high scoring affair and hopefully Carr can continue racking up yards against a shaky Panthers secondary.

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff ($6000) is awfully cheap and he has a road matchup against a New Orleans Saints defense allowing 280.7 passing yards a game and 14 touchdowns this season. Goff is making just the second start of his career and while he didn’t light the world on fire against Miami last week he did throw the ball 31 times completing 17 for 134 yards and ZERO interceptions.  Goff should fly under the radar this week and you will be able to practically play any other player you would like if you do decide to use Goff on Sunday.

Running Backs

There are plenty of running backs with great opportunities and I’ve narrowed them down to five that I think have the best chance to win you some cash this week at FanDuel!

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi ($8400) has been very good at home; over his last five home games he’s scored five touchdowns and rushed for 571 yards on 90 carries. This week the Dolphins are at home against a San Francisco 49er defense allowing 179 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns this season. The 49ers are terrible on the road; in just four games they have allowed 1092 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. The forecast calls for clear skies but 17 mile an hour winds and that bodes well for the running game and of course Ajayi. Vegas has set a 46.5 point over under with the Dolphins an early week 7.5 point favorite. This is about as good as it gets I think.

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings ($6600) has a terrific matchup with a Cleveland Browns defense allowing 143.9 yards a game and 13 touchdowns this season. The Browns defense is pretty bad at home allowing 920 yards and six touchdowns in five home games this season. Jennings is averaging 10 FanDuel points a game and has rushed for 340 yards on 100 carries for two touchdowns this season. The weather shouldn’t be a problem on Sunday and Vegas set the over under at 44 points with the Giants being an early week seven point favorite. I really like the price for Jennings this week and the matchup is a good one that hopefully Jennings can exploit.

San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde ($6800) has a great matchup on the road against a Dolphins defense allowing 126.1 yards a game and eight touchdowns. In five home games the Dolphins have allowed 522 yards and just two touchdowns. Hyde is averaging 13.2 FanDuel points a game 529 yards on 141 carries and six touchdowns this season. As previously mentioned the skies will be clear but the wind will be blowing and hopefully Hyde can get off to a good start and stay active throughout the game.

San Diego Chargers RB Melvin Gordon ($8200) has a good matchup on the road against a Houston Texans defense allowing 111.6 yards per game and ten touchdowns this season. In five home games this season the Texans have allowed 581 yards and six touchdowns in their own stadium. This season Gordon is averaging 19.7 FanDuel points a game with 838 yards on 217 carries and nine touchdowns. Gordon also has been valuable as a receiver with 33 receptions for 346 yards and two touchdowns. The weather shouldn’t be a factor and Vegas has set an over under of 46.5 with the Chargers an early week 1.5 point favorite. I like this matchup very much this week.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware ($7000) was heavily touted last week and he laid a dud. This week he has a great opportunity against a Denver Broncos defense allowing 123.7 yards a game and nine touchdowns this season. In five games at home this season the Broncos have allowed 612 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Ware is averaging 13.5 FanDuel points a game and has rushed for 641 yards and two touchdowns this season; as a receiver Ware has 22 receptions for 340 yards and one touchdown. Weather shouldn’t be a factor Sunday evening and Vegas has set a 39.5 point over under with the Broncos being an early week three point home favorite. I like Ware this week!

Wide Receivers

I had I difficult time this week narrowing the Wide Receiver position down to five players…..and here they are.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans ($7900) has a terrific matchup this week against a Seattle Seahawks defense allowing the WR1 to average 86.3 yards a game and as a unit 237 yards a game and just eight touchdowns this season. In five road games the Seahawks have allowed 1020 yards and five touchdowns this season. Evans has 65 receptions for 916 yards and eight touchdowns for a 17.4 FanDuel points per game average. Vegas set a 45 point over under with the Seahawks an early week six point favorite. The weather forecast is calling for a partly cloudy day with a nine mile per hour wind and hopefully Evans can light up the scoreboard a couple of times this week.

I’m sticking with this game and the Seahawks Doug Baldwin ($6800) has a very solid opportunity this week against a Buccaneers defense allowing the WR1 to average 66.3 yards a game and as a unit allows 267 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. In five home games this season the Bucs have allowed 1294 passing yards and seven touchdowns. Baldwin has 54 receptions for 733 yards and five touchdowns this season. The numbers might not be the sexiest but I have a feeling Baldwin is going to shred that defense on Sunday.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry ($7000) has a great opportunity against a San Francisco 49er defense allowing the WR1 to average 90.7 yards a game and as a unit have allowed 251.6 yards a game and 23 touchdowns this season. In four road games this season the 49ers have allowed 1330 passing yards and 14 touchdowns. Landry has 60 receptions this season for 686 yards and only two touchdowns and six Red Zone target catching four of them for one touchdown. Vegas set the over under at 46.5 points with the home team Dolphins an early week eight point favorite. The winds will be blowing at about 13 miles per hour but I like this matchup and I think Landry will fly under the radar this week.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins ($7000) has a good opportunity against a San Diego Chargers defense allowing the WR1 to average 82.2 yards a game and as a unit 274.5 passing yards a game and 16 touchdowns this season. In five road games this season the Chargers have allowed 1290 yards and ten touchdowns this season. This season Hopkins has 50 receptions for 540 yards and three touchdowns for a 9.7 FanDuel points per game average. Vegas set the over under at 45.5 points and the Chargers are an early week one point road favorite. The weather should not affect play and I like Hopkins this week.

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper ($7800) has a great opportunity this week against a Carolina Panthers defense allowing the WR1 to average 83.4 yards a game and as a unit have allowed 271.7 yards and 19 touchdowns this season. In four road games this season the Panthers have allowed 1328 yards and nine touchdowns. Cooper has 62 receptions this season for 900 yards and three touchdowns plus 12 Red Zone targets only catching four of them and all that is good for a 14.3 FanDuel points per game average. Vegas set the over under at 50.5 with the home team Raiders an early week three point favorite. The weather should be good and hopefully so will Cooper against the Panthers this Sunday!

Tight End

The Tight End situation for week 12 is going to be very interesting. I think I have five players who have good opportunities to score some points this week…..and here they are.

Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge ($4800) isn’t having the season many expected but he does have a very good opportunity this Sunday against a New York Giants defense allowing TE’s to average 65.8 yards a game. This season Barnidge has 39 receptions for 457 yards and one touchdown and that’s good enough for a 6.7 FanDuel points a game average. Barnidge also has six Red Zone targets this season catching two of them for a touchdown. Vegas set the over under at 45 points with the Giants being an early week seven point favorite.

Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta ($4900) has a very good opportunity against a Cincinnati Bengals defense allowing TE’s to average 68.2 yards a game. Pitta has 49 receptions for 405 yards and no touchdowns but does have five Red Zone targets catching three of them that is worth 6.5 FanDuel points a game. Vegas has set a 40 point over under with the host Ravens an early week four point favorite. The wind will be blowing at about 11 miles an hour and hopefully Pitta can get a few targets sent his way this week.

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett ($5500) has a good opportunity against a New York Jets defense allowing TE’s to average 59.2 yards a game. Bennett has been solid this season with 39 receptions for 518 yards and four touchdowns including nine Red Zone targets catching six of them for three touchdowns for a 9.6 FanDuel points a game average. Vegas set a 48 point over under with the visiting Patriots an early week 7.5 point favorite. With Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski out this week Bennett will probably see plenty of targets thrown his way Sunday.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen ($7000) has a good opportunity this week against a Oakland Raiders defense allowing 69.2 yards a game to TE’s. This season Olsen has 54 receptions for 745 yards and three touchdowns plus 12 Red Zone targets catching seven of them for two touchdowns. All of that has earned Olsen a 12.2 FanDuel points a game average. Vegas set the over under at 50.5 points with the home team Raiders and early week three point favorite. The winds will be blowing at 13 miles an hour and Olsen will probably be the heaviest owned player this week.

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham ($6900) has a good opportunity this week against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense allowing TE’s to average 58.7 yards a game. Graham has 45 receptions this season for 639 yards and four touchdowns as well as ten Red Zone targets catching five of them for three of those four touchdowns. Vegas set the over under at 45 points with the Seahawks a six point road favorite. It should be a nice day with nine mile an hour winds in Tampa Bay and much like Olsen I think Graham will be heavily owned this week.

Good luck at FanDuel this week!
