Week seven of the Fantasy Basketball season is here and this is what I think you should know as we begin week number seven!

Chicago Bulls PF/C Taj Gibson has six double doubles this season. Over his last five games he’s getting 30 minutes a night and for the season he’s averaging 28.5 minutes a game. The Bulls also have four games this week. Gibson is available in 40 percent of ESPN leagues. What are you waiting for?

Chicago Bulls C Robin Lopez is averaging two blocked shots a game. He’ll also contribute in points (9.8), rebounds (7.8), playing 28-31 minutes a night and his shooting percentages won’t kill you. The Bulls have four games this week and Lopez is also available in over 40 percent of ESPN leagues.

If I asked you who in the NBA had the highest true shooting percentage would you have said San Antonio Spurs PG Patty Mills? BTW: He’s also knocking down two triples and three assists while averaging 14 points over his last five games. The Spurs have three games this week and is available in roughly 80 percent of ESPN leagues.

Over the past five games New Orleans PG/SG Tim Frazier is averaging 7.4 assists AND 32.6 minutes a night. Guess the “when Jrue Holiday returns Frazier sits” narrative didn’t quite pan out did it?

Over the past five games Atlanta Hawks SG/SF Thabo Sefolosha is averaging 26.6 minutes a night; he’s also averaging 2.1 steals per game and is available in over 90 percent of ESPN leagues.

Brooklyn Nets PF Trevor Booker is averaging nearly a double double and nearly three steals a night over his last five games. Plus he’s doing it in 31.2 minutes. Brooklyn has three games this week and he’s available in over 35 percent of ESPN leagues.

The Waiver Wire

Teams with four games; Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Utah Jazz and the Washington Wizards.

The Golden State Warriors have five games this week. The Los Angeles Clippers have two games this week and everyone else has three games on their schedule.

Denver Nuggets SG/SF Will Barton is back from injury and over his last two games he’s averaging 18.5 points, 6 points, 4.5 assists, 1.5 steals while averaging 33 minutes a night. Denver has four games this week (Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Washington and New York) and is currently available in just over 70 percent of ESPN leagues.

Miami Heat PG/SG Tyler Johnson is stringing together a nice season; currently he’s averaging 15 points, 1.5 steals, 3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 30 minutes a night over the past five games. Johnson and the Heat have four games this week (Knicks, Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago) and is available in over 55 percent of ESPN leagues. I would think he would be able to help you this week.

Memphis Grizzlies PG Andrew Harrison is now the defacto starter for the foreseeable future and over the past few games he’s averaging 16.5 points, six assists, three rebounds, 1.5 steals and knocking down 2 triples while averaging 32 minutes a night. The Grizzlies have four games this week (New Orleans, Philadelphia, Portland and Golden State) and is available in over 75 percent of ESPN leagues. He won’t hurt you and might actually wind up a permanent part of your roster.

Portland Trail Blazers SG/SF Evan Turner has been hot lately and over the past five games he’s averaging 12.6 points, 1 steal, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 triples while playing 26 minutes a night. Turner and the Trail Blazers have four games this week (Chicago, Memphis, Milwaukee, Indiana) and is available in 55 percent of all ESPN leagues. Turner has a nice schedule and should be able to help you in multiple categories this week.

Philadelphia 76ers SF/PF Robert Covington is available in over 75 percent of ESPN leagues and that leaves me shaking my head. Over the past five games Covington is averaging 11.6 points, 2.2 steals, 1 assist, 6.2 rebounds and 2 triples playing 30 minutes a night. The 76ers have four games this week (Denver, Memphis, New Orleans and Detroit) against teams susceptible to the triple making Covington even more valuable this week.

Phoenix Suns C Tyson Chandler isn’t going to help you win many categories but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t valuable. This season he is averaging 11.7 rebounds a night to go along with 7.2 points and decent shooting percentages. The Suns have four games this week (Indiana, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah and New Orleans) so if you need rebounds Chandler is still available in over 60 percent of ESPN leagues.

Good luck this week!!
