Fantasy Basketball: Week 14 Waiver Wire Suggestions!

Week fourteen of the Fantasy Basketball season begins Monday January 23, 2017. We have plenty of things to get to today so let’s get started.

Teams with four games this week; Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors and the Washington Wizards.

The Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers each have two games this week. Every other NBA team has three games on their schedule.

Looking for steals this week?

Houston Rockets PG Patrick Beverley is averaging nearly two of them a game plus he scores points and rebounds. He also has solid shooting percentages and is still available in just under 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

If Beverley isn’t available you can also look to Atlanta Hawks SF Thabo Sefalosha who is also averaging nearly two steals a night and does what Beverley does only on a much smaller scale and less minutes. Sefalosha is available in over 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

What about assists?

New York Knicks PG Brandon Jennings is averaging nearly four assists per game and he’s averaging just over 20 minutes. The Knicks have four games this week and that’s 16 assists that you didn’t have to begin the week. He is currently available in over 80 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

If Jennings isn’t available Sacramento Kings PG Darren Collison is averaging just over four assists a game while also scoring 11 points and one steal playing 28 minutes a night. He’ll even knock down a triple or two and his shooting percentages are excellent. Collison is available in just over 40 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Blocks are important too

Prior to receiving a concussion Toronto Raptors C Lucas Nogueira was throwing anywhere from 1.8 to four shots out of the gym per night. He’s missed a couple of games since then due to concussion protocol but he should be back next week. If he is grab him because he is available in over 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

If he isn’t available Chicago Bulls C Robin Lopez is averaging nearly two blocks per night while also averaging 11.8 points and 6.6 rebounds. Lopez also has four games this week and is available in just over 45 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Three Pointers

Cleveland Cavaliers PF Channing Frye has one job on the Cavs; that’s knock down triples and this season he’s knocking down two of them a night. He’s averaging nearly ten points a night, four rebounds and the occasional steal or two all in just less than 20 minutes of playing time a night. The Cavs have four games this week and Frye is available in 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Baseball leagues.

Philadelphia 76ers PF Ersan Illyasova is knocking down 2.1 triples a game and over the past five games is knocking down three triples a night! He’s also averaging 14.6 points and six rebounds a game with very good shooting percentages. The 76ers have four games this week and Illyasova is available in just over 40 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.
