Fantasy Basketball: Ballin on a Budget at Draft Kings for Thursday October 27, 2016

Its day 3 of the NBA Tip off and we have a small slate of 8 teams to choose from. Your salary can run out quick when filling your roster with studs. So let’s get the best bang for your bucket with these 5 low budget players to help win your DFS money$$$$$.

PG- Isiah Thomas-$7,200– @ Chicago- the Celtics will be on the road for Da Bulls season opener (Welcome home Dwyane Wade). Thomas will have to be heavily involved tonight and will want to show Rajon Rondo why the Celtics moved on from him. Thomas had a strong performance last night against the Nets with 25 points , 6 rebs and 9 assists. I expect a similar performance in Chi-town.

SF- Johnathan Simmons-$3,400 Yeah, who? I said the same thing. We all know nothing about this guy but obviously the great Greg Popovich does.  Simmons performance against the Warriors was a shocking 20 points, 4 rebs and 3 assists and 1 monster blocked shot in 28 mins.  The kid has some real talent and at this price point, he is worth taking a chance against a dysfunctional Sacramento Kings team.

SF-Doug McDermott-$3,400- Dougie fresh career has come off to a slow start.  With the new additions of Wade and Rondo, Mc Buckets should be able to get a ton of outside looks to stroke his bread and butter which got him to the NBA.  Although the Celtics are a well-coached team, their perimeter defense needs a lot of improvement.  This was proven last night as Bojan Bogdanovic scored 21 pts in the season opener.

PF-Taj Gibson-$4,100- Taj Gibson will be a Monster on the boards going against a small Celtics line up. While the addition of Al Hortford is an upgrade in the interior for the Celtics, Gibson should be able to outmuscle the new found 3 point shooter, who’s inside game has faded away. Gibson should also sneak in several points as well with the pick and roll offense.  I can see Gibson with a double double cheeseburger on the night.

SG/SF- Allen Crabbe-3,700- Allen Crabbe has some serious talent and made a ton of strides last year and continues to be a nice piece to the Trailblazers team. There are a lot of mouths to feed in Portland with the addition of Evan Turner, but Crabbe’s all-around game seems to be coming in to fruition. I foresee his hot hand continuing against Doc Rivers Clippers.  Expect a 14 plus points performance tonight.
