There are ten games on the main MLB slate at FanDuel tonight. We have a ballgame in Coors Field putting that game in play and we also have two inter-league games to deal with.
At the time of this writing the only weather issue I see is at Coors Field. If you are going to use players from this game I suggest you use this site for the most up to the minute forecasts on the interwebs.

New York Mets SP Jacob deGrom ($10,700) has probably the best opportunity tonight against a San Francisco Giants offense with a 19 percent strikeout rate, wOBA of .272 and wRC+ of 68 this season against right handed pitching. This season at home deGrom has a 32 percent strikeout rate, 3.19 xFIP and 3.25 SIERA without allowing a single bomb at home this season.
Kansas City Royals SP Nate Karns ($7000) has a good opportunity tonight against a Tampa Bay Rays offense with a 25 percent strikeout rate, .313 wOBA and wRC+ of 103 this season against right handed pitching. Karns has a 21.3 percent strikeout rate, 4.09 xFIP and 3.77 SIERA with 3.8 bombs per nine innings pitched. Keep in mind that number is highly inflated due to the four bombs he gave up in Texas a couple of weeks ago.
Texas Rangers SP Nick Martinez ($6400) has a good opportunity tonight against a San Diego Padres offense with a 26 percent strikeout rate, wOBA of .297 and wRC+ of 83 this season against right handed pitching. Martinez has a 20 percent strikeout rate at home to go along with a 4.64 xFIP and SIERA of 4.67 this season plus 1.38 bombs per nine innings pitched at home this season.
Stacking Opportunities for Monday
Coors Field is in play tonight and with an 11 run over under the game should produce some big numbers. I’ll let you decide which Cubs and or Rockies you will use tonight.
The Washington Nationals have been smashing right handed pitching to the tune of a .354 wOBA and wRC+ of 116. Ryan Zimmerman ($4600), Bryce Harper ($5000) and Daniel Murphy ($4200) are the main Nationals doing damage but you could also look at Anthony Rendon ($3200) and Matt Wieters ($2800) tonight also against the Orioles Kevin Gausman and his 36 percent fly ball rate and his 1.76 bombs per nine innings at home. Eight MPH wind blowing out tonight is also a beautiful thing.
The New York Yankees are another team hammering right handed pitching and they have a great opportunity tonight in Cincinnati against the Reds Rookie Davis. Davis has a 39 percent fly ball rate and is allowing 2.25 bombs per nine innings in the friendly confines of Great American Ball Park. Yankee bats to consider tonight are Aaron Hicks ($3200), Aaron Judge ($4500), Starlin Castro ($3900) and Brett Gardner ($3500). Five MPH winds blowing straight out to center tonight should aid the Yankees cause quite a bit.
Phil’s Top Three Picks for Monday
Baltimore Orioles 3B Manny Machado ($4000) has hit five bombs in his last 10 games; Machado also has a .250 ISO, wOBA of .392 and wRC+ of 154 at home against left handed pitchers this season. He will face Nationals lefty Gio Gonzalez and his 41 percent fly ball rate to right handers and 1.23 bombs to right handed bats.
Cincinnati Reds 1B Joey Votto ($4500) has a good opportunity tonight against New York Yankees SP Masihiro Tanaka and his 32 percent fly ball rate and 1.08 bombs per nine innings pitched on the road. Votto has a .261 ISO, .423 wOBA and wRC+ of 159 against right handed pitching at home this season. And just like the wind should benefit Yankees bats the same should hold true for Votto tonight.
Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor ($4200) has four bombs in his last ten games and has a good opportunity tonight against Toronto Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman. Stroman has a 61 percent ground ball rate and just under one bomb per nine innings pitched is usually the type of pitcher we would avoid. Lindor is the type of go with the pitch type of hitter that can do some major damage to a pitcher like Stroman…..and I believe he will tonight.
Good luck at FanDuel tonight!
